I’ve been stationed in London for thirteen years.

Which city was your favourite to visit on tour with ETT?

Newcastle.

What gem did you discover on tour with ETT?

Folk sessions at the Cumberland Arms in Newcastle.

What are your touring essentials?

A decent cast.

All the good stuff. Smart lyrics.

What piece of writing or quote inspires you?

These Things I Know by Kate Tempest. Especially: “Let it be magic. These are not engines we are making.”

What, for you, makes a good piece of art?

Something which is accessible, inspiring and empowering.

What have been your career highlights so far?

I’ve a fierce loyalty to the Stabilo Boss Original.

If you were cast away on a desert island, which 5 plays would you take with you and why?

Crave by Sarah Kane, Bluebird by Simon Stephens, Road by Jim Cartwright, A View From the Bridge by Arthur Miller and Look Back in Anger by John Osbourne.

Please can you tell us what you would say to emerging artists to encourage them to take their work on the road or join an ETT tour?

Super vaccinator.
