ETT were delighted to be welcomed to the iconic Guildhall in London to participate in the UK Theatre Awards ceremony, where we won twice:
Excellence in Inclusivity
Best Play, Mugabe, My Dad & Me, in collaboration with Brixton House, York Theatre Royal in association with Alison Holder
Written by and starring Tonderai Munyevu and Directed by John R. Wilkinson
With representatives from our co-proudcing partners, associated & nominated artists and theatre makers, and staff from the organisation, ETT were truly able to pause and say thanks to its community of collaborators.
Touring, and its significance within the UK theatre’s ecology was the clear theme of the day, with awards going to leading regional venues, touring organisations and national collaborations.
In ETT’s most nominated year to date, the awards offered a wonderful opportunity with staff from artistic organisations across the country, to gather for the first time since 2019.
“In the last few years, ETT has expanded the work it produces and creates, delivering a varied programme of outstanding quality, imagination and ambition. Across mid-scale tours, digital work and freelance support ETT celebrates contemporary England and the awards we won show that. Championing the most exciting theatre makers in the country, and taking the lead to improve the equality and inclusion within the wider sector. The night was a gorgeous celebration of how far we’ve come, and an inspiring reminder of all that can be achieved” Megan Cronin
