Charlie Cuscito

Charlie joined ETT recently, after working in Front of House management across major West End theatres for the past nine years. Originally from the south of Italy, she moved to the UK in 2016 to attend the Fourth Monkey Actor Training Company and fell in love with London immediately. She considers it the best city in the world for someone with constant FOMO. During her (very limited) free time, she works on her podcast “West End Girlz,” in which she and her zoologist best friend Josh bring a new topic to center stage each week – one that the other knows nothing about.

Where is your home away from home?
Italy is definitely my home away from home. Most of my family members live there and it’s always a joy to go back home and enjoy the insane food, beautiful culture, and crystal clear beaches where I grew up.
Which artist(s) do you most admire and why?
I am totally obsessed with anything that Zendaya or Florence Pugh do. I truly admire their authenticity and their craft in all their project. I’m always very inspired by their work. I’d also read anything from Simon Stephens and Raymond Carver.
If you were cast away on a desert island, which 5 plays would you take with you and why?
I’d take I’m Gonna Pray for You So Hard by Halley Feiffer and Blue Orange by Joe Penhall because I love intellectual fights; Simon Stephens modern adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s Uncle Vanya to relive Andrew Scott’s performance in my head as I read it; People, Places and Things and Where’s My Money? because of their sharp and thought-provoking writing, also it feels so authentic and raw going through those journeys with them.
