After founding a theatre company at university and making digital work throughout the pandemic, Ellen started her professional producing career as Trainee Producer (then Assistant Producer) at Paines Plough. As a freelancer, Ellen produced RAPTURE by Sophie Leydon for Pink Sky Theatre (VAULT Festival 2023, King’s Head Theatre transfer) and CHATHAM HOUSE RULES by Louis Rembges for The Goat Ensemble (Omnibus Theatre, Edinburgh Fringe & Pleasance London transfer). Ellen has an MA in Theatre for Community and Education from Mountview and is interested in making work with accessibility and sustainability at it’s core.
Where is your home away from home?
Edinburgh. I did my first Edinburgh Fringe when I was 18 and every summer since, without fail, I’ll be minding my own business when I suddenly get this deep rooted urge to pack a back and get on an LNER train…
What are your touring essentials?
Umbrella, Factor 50 SPF (you just never know what weather you’re going to get!) and a reusable water bottle.
What have been your career highlights so far?
When producing a show at the Edinburgh Fringe, not only myself but our whole creative team had to give up our seats in the audience as it was so packed with people wanting to come see the show. That was awesome.
